Coloring books for adults have been all the rage recently, but a new find out of the Missouri Botanical Gardens suggests that this trend may be more vintage than modern. The book, titled "The Florist," features 60 unique botanical designs, along with detailed coloring instructions, "for the use and amusement of gentlemen and ladies."

Published in Britain in 1760, The Florist beat us here at Happies to the punch by about 250 years-- in fact it's the oldest known coloring book in the world. But that doesn't mean we can't provide some friendly competition. Coming in at under 1 year of age, our Botanicals Coloring Book is a beautiful culmination of centuries of tradition, plus it's all kinds of fun. And who knows? In 250 years, it could be your artwork that everyone's talking about.
